FIGHTING CORRUPTION IS AN URGENT TASK

Today, another meeting dedicated to combating corruption was held at the Youth Center in Samarkand city.

The meeting was organized in cooperation with the management of "Regional Electric Networks" JSC, the Anti-Corruption and Compliance Control Service (Department), as well as regional prosecutor's office and AIBA employees, and was attended by managers and employees of the Samarkand regional branch of "Regional Electric Networks" JSC and the regional division of "Energosavdo".

The speakers emphasized that corruption is one of the most serious threats to the development of the Uzbek state and society, and that having an uncompromising attitude towards any manifestations of corruption and fighting against it is the top priority task for everyone.

It should be noted that "Regional Electric Networks" JSC is designated to implement measures in the direction of "Reducing corruption risks and preventing conflicts of interest in the field of public procurement", and in this direction, tasks such as preventing conflicts of interest in the sector and introducing norms aimed at preventing nepotism and other abuses in recruitment and employment have been indicated. These issues were also particularly emphasized at the meeting.

Additionally, law enforcement officers participating in the meeting conducted explanatory work on thorough preparation for the autumn-winter season, providing stable electricity to the population, increasing energy efficiency, and rational use of available resources.

Along with this, during the meeting, promotional work was carried out on the system for preventing corruption and other offenses among employees, possible situations that may occur in the system regarding anti-corruption efforts and measures to eliminate them, as well as fighting against domestic corruption.

At the end of the event, participants received answers from law enforcement agency representatives on their questions and opinions on legal topics.
