Compliance with safety standards and labor protection of employees of JSC "Regional Electric Networks" is one of the main factors in the reliability and stability of operation of electrical networks and equipment.

Strict compliance with safety requirements allows prevention of possible accidents and provides the opportunity to safely perform operational work on electrical networks and equipment.

In this regard, in all territorial electric network enterprises, operational work is organized in accordance with the "Rules of Safety in the Operation of Electrical Installations".

The Rules provide the main organizational and technical measures that prevent the impact of hazardous production factors on workers in operating electrical installations, and also define safety measures when performing various work on transformers, switchgear and power lines, which allow prevention of dangerous production situations and accidents.

It is well known that stable and reliable power supply to consumers is achieved through professional and high-quality technical maintenance of existing electrical networks and equipment. For these purposes, in territorial electric network enterprises, special attention is paid to the constant conduct of personnel retraining classes, anti-emergency drills and training at training grounds.

Currently, electricians and engineering and technical workers servicing electrical installations have electrical safety groups and have passed exams on the Safety Rules, and also have the appropriate certificate.

In addition, special attention is paid to such aspects as compliance with labor protection and social security of workers in order to prevent accidents. In this regard, territorial electric network enterprises have organized:

• training grounds and training rooms, where, in accordance with action plans, personnel retraining classes are constantly held, as well as drills aimed at countering emergency situations.
• young electricians are assigned to professional engineering and technical workers, their training is conducted using the "teacher-student" method.
• workers are provided with the necessary electrical protection equipment and special clothing in the prescribed manner.
• control and verification of strict compliance with Safety Rules when working with electrical networks and electrical installations.

Also, specialists of JSC "Regional Electric Networks" take part in annual international competitions to improve the professional skills of personnel in the electric power industry, organized among CIS countries, the main goals and objectives of which are:

• improving and assessing the level of professional training of personnel for repair and maintenance of distribution networks of overhead lines 0.4-110 kV;
• improving the culture of labor safety;
• improving the qualifications of personnel, quality of work and safety when servicing overhead lines 0.4-110 kV, reducing injuries;
• exchange of best practices in the operation of equipment and performance of repair work on high-voltage power lines.
